Meet Hannah

Hi! I’m Hannah Wells, owner of Hannah Korte Photography, LLC.

I love the feeling when your photograph comes out exactly like or even better than you wanted. I create my art so I can show other people the world through my eyes. It's a way to make scenarios from my imagination become reality. My art gives me a way to express my thoughts and communicate ideas with others in the easiest way I find possible. Until I started college, I was self-taught. I work primarily with digital photography. The majority of my personal work involves constructing some sort of set or prop from my imagination which I try to make on my own, and I try to incorporate that in to commissioned work as well.

I graduated from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI in 2016 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. I assist and retouch for commercial photographers as well as photograph weddings, product images, and capture everyday milestones for families in the area. I married my wonderful husband, Cody, back in September 2024. We met in middle school but didn’t start dating until we were in college and the rest is history! He proposed at the Detroit institute of Arts (where we had our first date). So, I am officially Hannah Wells, but still Hannah Korte Photography during your session!

We spend most of our spare time catching up on new movies that have come out, building Legos, or playing board games. Fall Out Boy is my favorite band, if they are in town there is a 95% chance, you’ll catch me at their show (make sure you say hi!). My goal for the future is to travel more and even leave the continent some time, creating art while I do it!
